
Carrie-Anne Moss was born August 21, 1967 and is a Canadian actor. She rose to fame for her role as Trinity in The Matrix (1999-present) after playing a few characters on television. Memento (2000) was her debut big role. She won the Independent Spirit Award, Best Female Supporting Actress, Red Planet (2000). Chocolat (2000), Fido (2006), Snow Cake (2006). Snow Cake (2006) earned her the Genie Award, Best Performance by an Actress. Disturbia (2007). Unthinkable (2010). Silent Hill: Revelation (2012). Pompeii (2014). She also portrayed Jeri Hogarth in several television series produced by Marvel Television for Netflix, most notably Jessica Jones (2015-2019). Moss, who was living in Spain at the time, was offered the role as Tara Marshall who served as the clerk to the Judge Nicholas Marshall, in Dark Justice. It was her first television appearance. In the course of the show, she made the move from Barcelona to Los Angeles in 1992. Moss was sacked from Dark Justice in the third and final season. She was replaced by Elisa Hingsohn in the role of Samantha Collins. After her return, she was enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. At the academy she worked as a model, and later appeared on Fox's primetime soap Opera Models Inc. In July 1995, the series was put on hold. The show was a made-in-Canada series titled Matrix. [3] Throughout the 1990s she was an actress in several TV shows such as Street Justice and Baywatch. Also, she appeared in F/X: The Series and Due South. Due South was nominated for the Gemini Award for Best Guest Actress in a drama. Most of her film roles in the decade were in B movies, including Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (1994), Tough Guy (1994), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (1996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
