The actress must really have made an impression because she turned that one episode into an appearance on Whedon's next big hit TV series, Firefly. Tam was unable to control her emotions as a result. On Firefly Glau was in a position to display not only her acting abilities but also her fighting skills. Her experience as an assassin allowed her an opportunity to make use of all of her athletic abilities. Summer Glau is a classically trained ballerina. Summer Glau's dancing skills include tango, flamenco as well as a range of different kinds. A fractured toe cut her off from performing. Firefly was on only for the duration of one episode, but enjoyed a huge fan base. So passionate that Whedon returned to the show just a couple of years after.
