Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco is an American Canadian singer and songwriter. She has released more than 20 albums. DiFranco's music has been classified as folk-rock and alternative rock although it includes influence from hip beat and jazz. A feminist icon widely recognized as Grammy award winner Ani DiFranco is the mother of the DIY movement and is among the pioneers to establish her own record label in the year 1990. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd of 1970, her parents Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco The couple had been in contact while at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
