Ina-Garten
Ina Gardner is author of numerous popular American cookbooks on cooking. Ina also hosts Barefoot Contessa on Food Network, which has been running since 2002. Ina started her career for the White House as a writer of documents on nuclear energy as well as the budget. Though she found the career to be stimulating intellectually, eventually she stopped her pursuit and decided to purchase a smaller specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. It took her 18 years to make her shop hugely successful, and then closed it. She then began to write her first cookbook. Many different cookbooks and magazines followed. Meanwhile, her Food Network show was also successful. The company also offers a wide range of items ranging from cooking materials to storage and equipment. Ina did not go to any cookery schools nor worked at a restaurant. She is entirely self-taught. Her name is associated with her casual way of creating and entertaining. Her most well-known recipes include simple recipes such as Skillet of Roasted Lemon Chicken Macaroni, Cheese and made with beef Bourguignon, and balsamic-roasted Brussels Sprouts.
