Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American writer and designer who has won numerous awards for her works. She is a proponent of animal rights. The actress has won praise for her roles in films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). Growing up in a family of artists in New York she wished to pursue a career in the field of art. She began as a photo assistant, before progressing to modeling and acting. The first two films she made were noticed, and she was awarded recognition with the Golden Globe Award of Most promising newcomer. Her film MacGraw's Love Story from 1970 was a huge hit that brought the world to her, as well an Academy Award nominee and Golden Globe Award. She was named the best female box-office actress in the globe after just three movies. The Grauman's Chinese Theater recorded her signature, hand-prints and foot prints in 1972. The other films she's appeared in include The Getaway Convoy Players as and the television miniseries The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, was released. MacGraw was married three times.
